" Just wanted to drop a note to tell you that the production office for big fish is Looking for 300 + asian people for an upcoming scene. Sunday, February 2 2-3:30 PM Robert Guillaume. You probably know him as Benson, the butler from "Soap" and, later, the eponymous hit television series. Soon you’ll also think of him as one of the stars of "Big Fish," already our favorite movie even though they’ve just barely started filming it. He describes himself as "a bastard, a Catholic, the son of a prostitute," and how he got from there to here is the subject of his new book, "Guillaume: A Life." We like him because he called us, and asked if he could do a booksigning while he was in town, and we like that. He’ll be doing a reading, taking questions, and signing books. And who knows who-all from the movie will show up? Sunday, February 16, 2003 2 PM Daniel Wallace, the guy who started it all when he wrote "Big Fish." In 25 years we’ve never sold anywhere near as many copies of any other book, and we know you’re all dying to hear from Daniel just what it all means. So come hear it from the man himself, assisted, we hope, by somebody from the movie, who’ll explain what nobody understands, which is to say how can they possibly make a movie out of that book? This one will be at the Capri Theatre, and we’d suggest you get there early. |
